Dear Parents/Carers,

As part of RE curriculum, Year 4  will be attending a school trip:

Location: BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Neasden

Date: Friday 28th April 2023

Travel: Public transport

We will be leaving school at 9:00 am and returning to school before the end of the school day.

What happens on the trip?
During their visit, the children will:

• witness a traditional Hindu ceremony
• participate in an interactive presentation about key Hindu beliefs, practices and values
• watch a short documentary about how the temple was built,
• take part in the ‘Understanding Hinduism’ exhibition where we will discover the origins and development of the world’s oldest living faith.

Contribution:
We are asking for a £1.50 contribution towards this trip. This will cover the cost of the ‘Understanding Hinduism’ exhibition.

Please note the following:

• Please provide your child with a healthy packed lunch (including a refillable bottle of water). If your child is entitled to free school meals, a lunch will be provided.
• children must be dressed in full school uniform, including black school shoes.
• ensure they are also prepared for the current weather, this includes wearing a waterproof coat.
