Our school day runs from 8:45am to 3:15pm. For activities running before and after these times, please see ‘After School Clubs’.

Welcome to The Devonshire Hill Nursery & Primary School. This website aims to give you a snapshot of our school, as well as providing important information for the whole school community. We hope that you enjoy your visit and find the website informative and helpful.

School Vision

Our Vision is to provide your child with an exceptional educational journey throughout their time at our school that will provide the right skills to enable them to be Successful Learners.

Attendance

We believe that children cannot learn if they are absent from school and that high attainment depends on good attendance. We therefore aim to ensure that all our children take full advantage of the educational opportunities available to them and to raise standards by promoting regular attendance. and punctuality of pupils.

British Values

We believe ‘British Values’ helps to provide pupils with knowledge, skills and understanding to prepare them to play a full and active part in society.

House System

Every child from Year 1 to Year 6 is a member of a ‘House’. Children are awarded house points by the teaching staff and the leadership team in recognition of demonstrating behaviours outlined by The Anchor Approach Resilience Wheel.

School to School Support

A Specialist Leader of Education's (SLE) role is about developing the capacity and capability of other leaders so that they have the skills to lead their own teams and improve practice in their own schools.
